While Genshin Impact players are busy blowing up things in Golden Apple Archipelago after Midsummer Islands Adventure Part IV. We have new details on the next event, Thunder Crash, a four weeks long event, which even gives you a free copy of Beidou, a four-star Electro Claymore user from Liyue.

Genshin Impact Thunder Crash Event
The Thunder Crash event is a four weeks long event where players will partake in different challenges each week to earn event-exclusive currencies. Moreover, these currencies, namely Storm Sleet and Crackling Crystal are used to redeem a variety of free rewards, including a copy of Beidou.

Challenge 1: Time Trial Challenges featuring crystals that buffs characters carrying electrograna or electro element.
- Players can earn Storm Sleet currency by taking part in this week long challenge.
Challenge 2: Time Trial Challenges featuring explosive devices that are charged by electro attacks and nearby characters carrying electrograna or electro element. Fully charged devices will explode, damaging mobs as well as the player (unless you are carrying an electrograna).

Challenge 3: Move from one location to another within a time limit, similar to Full Speed Ahead commissions. A character carrying electrograna or electro element can move faster by blinking between electrodes (pictured below).

Challenge 4: An event dungeon featuring Perpetual Mechanical Array.
- Players can earn Crackling Crystal currency by taking part in this week long challenge.
Note: Besides its appearance in this event dungeon, this new boss is also a 40-resin World Boss that drops Ayaka ascension materials.
Genshin Impact Midsummer Islands Adventure II gave players more ground to cover in the Golden Apple Archipelago area. With the decrease in water level, new isles and areas have popped up. And with that, we have new quests, puzzles, and hidden areas to explore, what looked like an underwhelming update is turning out to be one of the best filler updates so far. Oh, did we mention it is one of the most rewarding updates?
How to get Beidou for free
Players can use 1000 Storm Sleet and 1000 Crackling Crystal Currencies to get Beidou from the Thunder Crash event.
