During Octave of Maushiro world quest under Genshin Impact’s Through the Mists questline, players go to Wakukao Shaol to search for Ruu. After arriving at the marked location, players get a new objective to solve the mystery of stones to progress the quest.

Solve the Mystery of The Stones – Wakukao Shaol
To solve the mystery of the stones at Wakukao Shaol on Tsurumi Island, players have to scan the Thunderbird Statues using the Peculiar Pinion gadget to get the solution. Once that is done, players can activate the stones in the same order to solve the mystery.

There are around four to five Thunderbird Statues that you have to scan to get the solution to the puzzle. You can follow the Seelie that spawns after using the Peculiar Pinion gadget on the Thunderbird Statue found near the stone puzzle. It will lead you to all other Thunderbird Statues, one by one.
Once you have scanned the last statue, you will get the order in which you have to active the stones to solve the puzzle. Remember the order, or make a note of it.

Now go to the stone puzzle and use a bow user(not mandatory) to activate the stones in the same order.
Once you solve the mystery of the stones, the quest will progress, and the new objective is to go to Oina Beach, restore the stones and solve the puzzle.
