New week, new Fortnite update. This week’s update, update v6.22, introduces some new content as well as a new weapon and an unexpected partnership.
The new Fortnite update introduces a new Limited Time Event called Blitz. The event is a faster take on the usual Battle Royale experience, with matches only lasting 15 minutes.
The update also introduces a Limited Time Mode called Team Terror. In this mode, players are divided into two different teams and have to deal with monsters invading the island. The team killing the highest number of monsters win. As a bonus, all monsters drop loot, so even the losing team gets something out of playing a match.
The new weapon added to the game is the Heavy Assault Rifle. The weapon is available in Rare or higher tiers and promises to be quite useful.
Interestingly enough, those playing Fortnite will be able to get some unique costumes soon. From November 9th, players will be able to obtain NFL themed outfits, inspired by all of the 32 teams.
Fortnite is now available in all regions on iOS and Android devices, as well as on PC and consoles.
