Final Fantasy VIII Remastered May Get A Retail Release

One of the best surprises to come from Square Enix’s E3 2019 Press Conference was the announcement of Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, which will finally allow console owners, including Nintendo Switch owenrs, to enjoy the game with several improvements.

The game has only been announced as a digital release, but it seems like a physical release may also be coming.

On its official Twitter profile, developed DotEmu hinted that Square Enix may drop more information on the matter in the future, as many things regarding the game haven’t been announced at the E3.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will come with several improvements over the original game, starting from revamped graphics with fully 3D models, the ability to cheat at any time during the game by restoring HP and the ATB gauge, and the ability to increase game speed. The timed events can also be played without the time limit.

Final Fantasy VIII will be released later this year on Nintendo Switch as well as on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
