It has been a very long time since Roller Champions was announced by Ubisoft, but it seems like the European publisher is now finally ready to show the world what they have been working on for so long, as their futuristic sports title will launch on May 25 worldwide.
Being a multiplayer title, players will want to know if the game will have crossplay, so as to be able to get it on any platform and still be able to play the game together with their friends, regardless of their platform of choice.
Here’s if Roller Champions will have crossplay.
Does Roller Champions Have Crossplay?
In late May 2022, Ubisoft confirmed that Roller Champions has both crossplay and cross-progression, meaning that it will be possible to switch between platforms at any time and not lose any progress. Given how Roller Champions launches as a free-to-play title, some players will be playing the game on a console and PC at home, and on the Nintendo Switch on the go, so cross-progression is a very welcome feature.

Unfortunately, playing at home and on the go comfortably is not something that many players will be able to do when Roller Champions launches on May 25, as the game will not be ready for Nintendo Switch and the Google Stadia cloud gaming service on that day. Roller Champions will likely be playable without too many issues at launch on Steam Deck, but, given the console’s limited availability, not too many will be able to enjoy the game on the go for the time being.
Roller Champions is Ubisoft’s take on the futuristic sports genre, and it looks like a very solid and enjoyable game. In case you haven’t seen the game in action, you can do so by taking a look at the trailer below. If you have already, then you’d better get your skates ready, as May 25 is right around the corner!
