Diamond in the Rough is one of the many daily commission quests that players do in Genshin Impact. In this daily commission quest, players have to talk to the boss of Jade Mystery, Shitou. He will ask players to play a mini-game where they have to identify different stones. Moreover, players can also unlock the achievement “Beginner’s Luck” if they complete Diamond in the Rough daily commission and win a jackpot in this mini-game.

Diamond in the Rough Quest Guide

As we know daily commission quests in Genshin Impact are random, so, there is nothing that you can do to get Diamond in the Rough quest.

Assuming that players have Diamond in the Rough quest active, go to Liyue Harbor and talk to Shitou.

After exhausting his dialogues, players are given four options that corresponds to the mini-game of identifying different stone.

Players can use Genshin Impact photo mode to zoom in and have a closer look at every stone. But, you have to do that, as the fourth dialogue option that says “Open the stone on red-white cloth” is the correct answer and that option will win players the jackpot and the “Beginner’s Luck” achievement.

For, any reason you aren’t able to identify the most precious stone. You can do this quest again, once it is available.

At the end of the daily quest, Shitou rewards players with a Cor Lapis or the Noctilucous Jade, if they chose the correct option. Moreover, depending on your answer, players also get an additional reward in the form of Mora.
