Players will be challenged in a gloomy escapade of DayZ where they must battle other players and team up with friends in order to survive for as long as they can. Over the years fans demanded that an offline mode be added and they’ve gotten their wish. So here is how to play Single Player in DayZ.

DayZ: How To Play Single Player

In the past, DayZ servers weren’t very impressive and often forced players to seek alternative methods of playing the game. For many, an offline solo mode was the ultimate fix. Playing offline doesn’t make players lose anything as they’ll also get the same missions and enemies, except there won’t be other real-life players.

So in order to play DayZ single-player, you’ll have to download the DayZ mod first of all to access the offline single-player mode. And to do this, you can search for ‘DayZ solo mode’ on Google and enter the GitHub link that appears. Obviously, the search result will bring in many websites related to DayZ, so simply scroll down, find the GitHub link and enter that instead.

We will not be linking to it as it is not an official procedure that’s been acknowledged by the developers. So once you’ve downloaded the file, you can go ahead and paste the content to the DayZ Steam directory using the steps below:

  • Locate your Steam directory
  • Open steamapps
  • Locate the common folder and open it
  • Click on DayZ
  • Find the missions folder and paste your newly downloaded files inside

Next, go to the DayZ Steam workshop and enable the additional modes listed below:

  • Community online tools
  • Optional: Zomberry Admin Tools
  • DayZ Expansion Licensed
  • CF (Community Framework)
  • DayZ expansion

Now, launch DayZ through Steam and go to Mods. Then at the top right corner, you will see a search bar through which you can look for the subscribed mods. Be sure to select the right ones.

Afterwards, enter all parameters where you will create your profile name and add the path to the expansion offline folder which should appear like this: C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\Missions\ExpansionCom.ChernarusPlus.

So that’s all we have for you on how to play DayZ single player and we hope you’ve found this article helpful. Happy Gaming!
