Early Life

The only thing that matters when creating your character is your gender – you absolutely need to be a male, as women cannot be monks. As long as you’re a male, your starting country doesn’t really matter too much, so go ahead and start wherever you like.

As a young child, make sure that you’re nice to everyone around you, especially your family. Don’t get into any fights with the kids at school and be a good student to not cause any problems further down the road.

Once you get to high school, the same things apply still. At this age, you’ll probably begin to be approached by the opposite sex. It’s important to remember that you cannot become romantically involved with anyone, as this will usually prevent the monk job from appearing at all.

Additionally, you can start meditating when you hit 12 years old. We don’t know if this has any affect on your chances of becoming a monk, but it never hurts to meditate, does it?

Becoming a Monk

Once you’re out of high school, don’t worry about going to college – we won’t be needing any further education where we’re going! Start taking a look at the list of jobs every year and scroll down to the very bottom; the monk job pays very little so it’s almost always at rock bottom.

Go ahead and force quit the app or age up a year if you don’t see the monk job. It’ll appear eventually – just make sure to keep your stats up. You don’t need your stats to be maxed out, just out of the orange zone.

There it is, way at the bottom!

Once the monk job appears, go ahead and take it and you’ll be asked an interview question. Simply pick the response that makes the most sense and sounds reasonable, and you should now be a monk! Be very careful, as the celibacy rule from earlier still applies, so be careful not to get into any relationships or you’ll lose the job.

And that’s it! You’re now a true monk. We wish you luck on the journey of finding inner peace. If you have any other tips or tricks to share, let us know in the comments below!
