Are Netflix Games Free?

Netflix Games as a feature/service isn’t free and will require an active Netflix subscription to download or play any games. However, the titles available on the service are currently all free to play, and anyone who has a paid Netflix account can easily access the Netflix Games service.

As per a Netflix blogpost“whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone.”

Netflix is currently only targeting mobile games and seems to be aiming to create a subscription service for mobile games. While the feature is fairly new, it has the potential to shake up the gaming space if Netflix plays its cards right.

Mobile gaming can become a very big revenue-generating stream for Netflix, and the company knows it, too. It will be interesting to see what plans the streaming company has for the mobile gaming space and Netflix Games as a service model.
