Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 entitled Nightmare dropped on October 21, bringing back the zombie mode and plentitude of new content. Beyond this, it also saw a couple of additions from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, including two new multiplayer maps, Tak-5 operator skill and a new Swordfish functional weapon.
Swordfish is a four-round burst bullpup rifle that emerged as a tactical rifle in Black Ops 4 and an AR in COD Mobile. The weapon is ideal for long-range fights that deliver a lethal performance in a single burst. For those interested in this AR, here’s how you can unlock Swordfish in COD Mobile Season 9.
How to unlock Swordfish in COD Mobile Season 9
The swordfish assault rifle can be unlocked in Call of Duty: Mobile by reaching the 21st tier in the season nine battle pass. Since it’s a free weapon, players don’t have to spend a dime and acquire Swordfish through the free variant of the battle pass.
Nevertheless, reaching this specific battle pass level is a daunting task as it requires a massive amount of battle pass XP. For this reason, unlocking Swordfish is a relatively long process and would require hours of grinding.
However, one can speed up this process by participating in Seasonal challenges and events, as they often reward a tremendous XP upon completing missions and tasks.
After reaching tier 21, head to the Battle Pass section and claim your reward. Here’s a teaser showcasing the gameplay and base statistics of Swordfish:
