How To Fast Travel In Monster Hunter Rise

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Fast travel hasn’t always been a thing in the Monster Hunter series. Keeping true to its hardcore action experience, most entries in the series do not provide any way to travel quickly from one location to another, but things have changed with Monster Hunter World, which is not too surprising, considering the game’s world was no longer divided into unconnected areas. The previous entry in the series is the first one that allows hunters to travel from one camp to another on any map, and these mechanics are also coming back in Monster Hunter Rise.

So, how do you fast travel in Monster Hunter Rise and how useful it really is? Let’s find out.

How To Fast Travel

Fast Travel in Monster Hunter Rise is extremely straightforward. This mechanic lets you move quickly between different campsites that you have unlocked on the field. As this guide is based on the playable demo, it is not yet clear what you need to do to unlock them.

The only thing you will need to do to fast travel is holding the – button to open the detailed map and then press the A button to select the location where you want to fast travel. Please keep in mind that it is not possible to fast travel while in combat, so do not expect to use fast traveling as a way to conveniently escape from danger.

Fast travel can also be used in the Kamura Village to move quickly between facilities, something that makes preparing for any hunt smoother than ever. With the addition of Wirebug mechanics, moving around the field has never been as smooth as it is in Monster Hunter Rise.
