In Triangle Strategy, positioning your troops correctly will give you an advantage in battle, but it isn’t the only thing you should pay attention to, when it comes to a battlefield, as even the terrain can be used to your advantage. It can also be manipulated with magic to create the perfect conditions to take out multiple enemies at once.
Here’s everything you need to know about terrain effects in Triangle Strategy.
All Terrain Effects in Triangle Strategy
Triangle Strategy features different types of terrain which do affect the units that are standing over them in a lot of different ways. By using magic on certain types of terrain, you can create the perfect conditions to weaken the enemy, damage them over time and even make a magical attack more effective.
To check how magic can change the terrain, all you need to do is position your cursor on an empty terrain tile and check the upper right part of the screen. If magic can alter the terrain, it will be highlighted in the interface when you are casting a spell as well.
Tiles in Triangle Strategy can be set ablaze, frozen, or turned into puddles. All three altered terrain types have different effects
| Terrain Effects | Description |
| Ablaze | Deals damage to units that pass over them, or that stop over them at the end of their turn. Can be turned into a Puddle by casting an ice spell. Tiles that are set ablaze due to special conditions cannot be extinguished. |
| Frozen | Reduces movement and accuracy for units that pass through and stop on frozen tiles respectively. Can be turned to Puddle by casting a fire spell. |
| Puddles | Turn thunder spells into area of effect spells that hit multiple targets. The spell will spread through all linked puddles. Puddles are removed by fire and ice spells. |
