How To Get Married in Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires

While the Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires Conquest Mode scenarios roughly follow the story of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the game is more about creating your own story, rather than following a predetermined one, allowing you to decide yourself how to unify China into a single, vast kingdom.

As you improve your relationship with other characters, you will be able to create some everlasting bonds and even marry. Here’s how this is done.

How To Get Married in Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires

In Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, the game keeps track of the current relationship level your character has with all the others via a Relationship rank and score. The closer the score is to 100, the deeper the relationship is.

Increasing the Relationship rank and score is quite simple. This is accomplished by interacting with the character as often as possible via the Map and Talk options, putting Secret Plans they propose into action, bringing them to battle with you, and accepting their suggestions when deciding on political objectives every six months.

Once you reach relationship rank S with a character, and it stays like this for some time, you will get the chance of either entering a brotherhood or marrying. The game will notify you that the character with whom you have an S rank relationship wants to talk with you, and you can do so by picking the Map and Talk options at the start of a turn. Pick the character that wants to talk with you, and then propose. The closer the Relationship score is to 100, the more likely the character will accept your proposal.

Marrying comes with some tangible benefits. Your partner will often give you some very nice gifts, including Rare Artifacts, that can make some of the most difficult battles quite easier. Additionally, you will also have a child at the end of the scenario who will be added to your character roster and that can be used in any other Conquest Mode scenario. The child will also have some unique interactions with the parents during any scenario, something that helps make the game feel more immersive.
