Getting legendary Pokemon in the original Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games was possible only through events. These events gave access to regions where you could battle and catch these rare Pokemon.
In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, however, players might be able to get their hands on the legendary Pokemon Darkrai. As of now, Darkrai is not available in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, this mythical Dark-type Pokemon was available through an event. If this Pokemon gets added, here’s how you can get it.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: How to Get Darkrai
If Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl continue the patterns set in their predecessors, players should be able to get Darkrai through a special event. The item needed to make your way to this legendary Pokemon is the member card.
Without this card, you won’t be able to access the location of Darkrai. As of now, this card has not been added to the game. Once the card and the event debut, you can catch Darkrai. Here’s how:
- Defeat the Elite Four
- Get the National Pokedex
- Finish the Cresselia event
- Head to the Canalave City
Once you are in the city, make your way towards the northern side of the entrance. You will come across a house and an NPC.
Interact with this NPC and sleep in the bed inside the house. This bed is like a portal to Newmoon Island. Here, you will encounter Darkrai. Now it’s up to you to battle and capture Darkrai.
