World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is the ninth expansion in the long-running fantasy MMORPG that’s introduced many interesting features such as the Dragon Isles, a new environment, the ancestral home of the Dragon Aspects, a new playable race known as the Dracthyr and a new Dracthyr-exclusive player class known as the Evoker.

The Evoker is the first race and class combination to make its way into the World of Warcraft, allowing you to switch between a human-like appearance and an anthropomorphic dragon-like form. There’s a whole lot to do in the game but in this article, we’ll be explaining Primal Storms in WoW Dragonflight.

WoW Dragonflight: What Are Primal Storms? – Explained

To put it simply, Primal Storms are a new event that has been added to Dragonflight Season One and allows players to earn various collectibles including aesthetic and practical gear drops. The Primal Storms event is also specific to the Dragon Isles, so every six hours, two randomized Dragon Isles regions will receive a Primal invasion in a specific area.

You should be able to spot these invasions by opening your map and looking for a large obvious ‘X’ that indicates the Primal Storms’ position. Invasions are usually two hours late and allow players enough time to take part in the world event which has a six-hour cooldown that starts after the invasion concludes.

There aren’t any precise objectives during a Primal Storm apart from being able to grind the event-specific currency that you can use to purchase certain items afterward such as the Unstable Elemental Confluence Heirloom trinket which initially, was only available from the Dragonflight pre-patch event.

You can get lots of exciting rewards that you can earn from Primal Storm events including cosmetic appearances for weapons and other cool items if you’re willing to spend time grinding throughout the Primal Storm events.
