Will Amiibos Be Compatible With Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak?

Over the past few years, Nintendo may have been releasing fewer amiibos than in the Wii U and 3DS days, but they are still an important part of the company’s business, as most new Nintendo Switch games are compatible with already released figures as well with new ones created to accompany any big game’s release.

Being one of the biggest Nintendo Switch releases of 2022, many are expecting amiibos to be compatible with Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Let’s find out if this will indeed be the case.

Will Amiibos Be Compatible With Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak?

Amiibos will be compatible with Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak when it launches in all regions on June 30. To mark the expansion’s release, Nintendo will launch three new figures – the Canyne Malzeno, Malzeno, and Felyne Malzeno figures – which will unlock a special layered armor that cannot be unlocked otherwise.

  • With the Canyne Malzeno amiibo, you will be able to unlock the Formal Dragon layered armor for your Palamute.
  • With the Malzeno amiibo, you will be able to unlock the Formal Dragon layered armor set for your Hunter.
  • With the Felyne Malzeno amiibo, you will be able to unlock the Formal Dragon layered armor set for your Palico.

As shown in the image above, these new layered armor sets follow the vampire theme of Malzeno and look quite classy, so make sure to get these new amiibo figures if you are one of those Hunters who wish to always look great, no matter which monster they are to face!
