Scaramouche, commonly called Kunikuzushi, which literally translates to “Country Destroyer,” is also known by his alias “Balladeer.” Scaramouche is No. 6 of the Fatui’s Eleven Harbingers.
Scaramouche is first encountered as the main antagonist of the Unreconciled Stars event.
Scaramouche initially appears in the quest The Crisis Deepens, introducing himself as a “vagrant from Inazuma.” He attempts to attack the Traveler when he learns that they are the Honorary Knight, only to be stopped by Mona, who helps the Traveler escape.
Later, it is revealed that he was tricked by the Jester into investigating mysterious meteorites in Liyue without warning him of the dangers ahead. He leaves to confront the senior Harbinger after threatening the Traveler.
When confronting the Traveler agin later, he attempts to make the Traveler succumb to the old Gods’ wrath. Yae Miko then comes in to offer him Ei’s Gnosis in exchange for the Traveler’s safety, which he accepts. After this, Scaramouche cut off contact with the Fatui and was considered to have gone rogue.
Appearance and Personality
Scaramouche possesses a lean figure and a handsome face, donning indigo hair while appearing quite youthful, in addition to his short height. He wears an outfit that is mostly black and red in color scheme with a large, imposing hat, a short-sleeved shirt, and shorts.
Scaramouche is not typically adored by anybody, and is reported to have an unpleasant personality. Some say he is tough to get along with and doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut, even disliked by his fellow Harbingers. Scaramouche is naturally cunning, witty, and unpredictable.
