As is with every Pokémon game, players are tasked with searching for Pokémon to capture and collect, using them to battle other Pokémon, be it against the AI or against other players. The difference with Pokémon GO is that it utilizes the player’s phone GPS to find and capture Pokémon!

The game has been expanding its roster since its humble release with the original 151 Pokémon all the way to modern times. Pokémon got so popular that the original roster kept expanding till we got to eight whole generations of Pokémon!

Today we will be talking about one of the newest releases, Oranguru, and how to acquire it in Pokémon GO!

Oranguru

Oranguru is a Normal/Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in the original Gen-7 games of Pokémon Sun and Moon. It is one of the few one-stage non-legendary Pokemon in the game as it does not evolve from anything or into anything.

How to get Oranguru

Oranguru, the Sage Pokemon, finally makes its debut in Pokemon GO for the Sustainability Week 2022 event, along with the debut of Shiny Cherubi.

There are a few ways of capturing Oranguru:

  • Increased catching of spawning in the wild in the Sustainability Week 2022 event
  • Hatching 7km eggs

Regardless of the method chosen to capture an Oranguru, there is a 2x exp bonus throughout the event that can be acquired from spinning a PokeStop for the first time.
