Pokemon Legends: Arceus is soon to be released on Nintendo Switch! The newest addition to the Pokemon gaming series is due for release on January 28th 2022, and fans cannot wait. As the date approaches we are hearing more news about what to expect, including new characters, places, and features. A few new faces will arrive on the scene: the Ginko Guild Merchants. All About the Ginko Guild Merchants
The Ginko Guild are a group of merchants who travel around the Hisui Region. As they move around the region, they sell whatever wares they can to anyone who will purchase them. It is said that these merchants are not actually native to the Hisui Region, and there is even a theory on Reddit that perhaps these merchants are not all that they seem? One Redditor suggests that they are, in fact, an Arceus clan. Of course, not everyone agrees with this theory but it is fascinating to speculate!
The named Ginko Guild Merchants are Ginter and Volo. As you play, you are guaranteed to cross paths with either, or both, of these useful traders. Ginter is the strong and stoic leader of the merchants who specialises in rare finds and special items. He seems grumpy but really he is just trying to be a responsible leader. Volo is a curious soul who enjoys finding unusual items and interacting with unusual people. It is suggested that Volo is actually an ancestor of Cynthia- the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Champion!
