Where to Find Sgt. Winter in Fortnite

The Fortnite festivities have begun and there are gifts galore all over the island! A visit from Sgt. Winter will guarantee yourself a Holiday Present containing decent loot and healing items. Sgt. Winter is Fortnite’s answer to Santa Claus, as he travels the island handing out gifts and candy to anyone nearby. Find out below where to find Sgt. Winter in Fortnite!

Sgt. Winter’s Location in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1

Sgt. Winter is an NPC who travels the Fortnite island on the back of a festive truck, pulled by two other NPCs dressed as reindeer. The truck will slow down when players are nearby, and Sgt. Winter will throw a Holiday Present and some candy. Each player near the truck will receive one Holiday Present per match. But how do we find Sgt. Winter and his reindeer?

The trick to finding Sgt. Winter is to stick to the roads as his truck does not stray onto the fields or hills. They travel along most of the main roads, including the snowy areas. Their spawn points are random so you are not guaranteed to see him every match, but if you are smart and lucky you may be able to find him.

Jump on a bike or another vehicle, and speed along the roads until you find Sgt. Winter on his truck. You could also use one of the Augments to help you move across the map quickly such as the Party Time to use Balloons or Aerialist for glider redeploy.

Once you have found the truck you can either wait for your gift or candy, or you can jump aboard and chill out with Sgt. Winter. Once Sgt. Winter has thrown gifts and candy, the truck will speed off quickly for a short distance so if you want to jump on you will have to be quick.

The truck travels pretty slowly but it can be pretty funny to ambush folk who approach, waiting for their Holiday Present. Be careful with where you are aiming, however, as Sgt.Winter and his Reindeer will return fire if you shoot one by accident. The truck will then shoot off to avoid any more damage. You could, if you really wanted to, kill all three and take the truck for yourself… But that would not make for a very merry Christmas, would it..?
