Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released last month after much fanfare and hype. It is the latest installment in the Pokémon series and takes a much different turn than its predecessors do in terms of storytelling and game mechanics.
The game takes place in the ancient Hisui region, which would become modern-day Sinnoh. Fighting and capturing Pokémon is drastically different with battles taking place on the overworld instead of turn-based instance battles, as was the staple of the series thus far.
One of the Pokémon that makes its return from the original Gen 4 games is Rotom, and this is how players can get one in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Rotom
Rotom is a Pokémon introduced in Generation 4’s games of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. It is a unique Pokémon that has different forms it can take via different methods.
Rotom is an Electric/Ghost Pokémon that can inhabit other household objects using its Ghost-type properties. Inhabiting any of these items can change its form and typing based on which object it possesses. These objects include:
- Mow Rotom: Electric/Grass
- Fan Rotom: Electric/Flying
- Heat Rotom: Electric/Fire
- Wash Rotom: Electric/Water
- Frost Rotom: Electric/Ice
Having so much variety on the player’s team makes Rotom a highly coveted Pokémon, but how can one catch Rotom?
Obtaining Rotom
Rotom is primarily found in the Coronet Highlands, specifically in these two locations there:
- Stonetooth Rows
- Sacred Plaza
Finding Rotom here is not very difficult, however, these areas are only accessible in the later parts of the story in the game, so players might need to wait for a while.
