Players are given this particular task, before unlocking the Coronet Highlands but to complete this task, you’ll need access to the Coronet Highlands.

Also, you’ll have to complete most of the story in this vicinity as Misdreavus can be found right on top of the mountain, so you’ll need the ability to climb rocks, which you can get from the story in this region.

It’s also easier to undergo this mission after unlocking the fast travel location at the Moonview Arena. Misdreavus only shows up at night, so if you miss it or fail to capture one, you can easily fast travel back to the camp near Lonely Spring and have some rest until it’s dark again before heading back to Moonview Arena to try and catch the Misdreavus.

So once it’s nighttime, Misdreavus appears just South of the arena, in an area called Sacred Plaza. During the day there are usually Bronzor’s here but as soon as it’s dark, the Misdreavus take over the area.

Misdreavus can be easily spooked and will teleport themselves away if alerted, so approach them slowly and make use of a strong Pokeball to be safe. Once you’ve gotten yousse a Misdreavus, you can then complete The Hairstyle Muse task and unlock more hairstyles.
