Where to Find Fungal Wood in ARK Fjordur Map

One of the materials you’ll need for later recipes is Fungal Wood, which is a rare resource that’s hard to find, especially on the new Fjordur map. Fungal Wood Location in ARK’s Fjordur Map

Fungal Wood is a significant late-game crafting resource, as you’ll need it for valuable items like the Climbing Pick, Fish Basket, Shag Rug, Zip-Line Anchor, and more. Players are having a bit of trouble finding it in the new Fjordur map, so we’ll point you in the right direction.

Fungal Wood is actually a lot easier to find than one might think! Before we start though, you’re going to be diving into the seas of the Fjordur, and if you’re a veteran ARK player, you know the water can be dangerous. Make sure you’re fully prepared to fight off hostile sea dinos!

Dive into the deep rivers throughout the Fjordur, and you may come across a disc-shaped yellow coral. Hit these with an axe, and you’ll get Fungal Wood! The disc coral looks exactly like it does in the featured image for this article.

For an easier time, there are a few spots where the yellow disc coral spawns out of the water. Head to the location on our map, indicated by the blue arrow, roughly around 70 latitude, 41 longitude.

This spot in particular is excellent because it’s somewhat close to the easy spawn points, so you only need to make a short trek to get to them. There are two spots where the yellow disc coral spawns, and they’re on both sides of the small inlet.
