How to catch Finneon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?

In order to catch Finneon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you will need a Good Rod. This tactic is similar to how it worked in the older title. Since Finneon is a water-type Pokemon, you will need to fish for it using a fishing rod (we found that using the Good Rod helps).

You can get the Good Rod by visiting Route 209 to the east of Hearthome City. You will notice that the area is filled with water and lots of wooden piers. Go and talk to a fisherman NPC there to get the Good Rod.

If you use the Good Rod to catch the Finneon, there is a 35% chance of finding one and 24.8% of catching it with a regular Pokeball. You can also find Finneon’s evolution Lumineon in the same areas as Finneon. Alternatively, you can evolve Finneon (level 31) to get Lumineon. However, you will need a Super Rod to catch Lumineon.
