A bird so chatty it’ll talk your ear off! Chatot is a multicolored bird based on a parrot that is… not a Pokemon to be taken too seriously. We’re not being mean or anything, it’s the truth!

The Pokemon Company added in Chatot just to show off the Nintendo DS’ new microphone feature at the time, when the original Generation 4 games were released.

Pokemon are caught for many reasons: some because they look cool, and others because they’re strong in battle. One would usually catch Chatot because they just love the quirky little bird (or they want to complete their Pokedex)!

Whatever reason it is, you are here for, more or less, the very same reasons. So read through this article to learn where to find Chatot in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl!

How to Find Chatot in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

You should have absolute no issues finding this chatty little pipsqueak. Chatot can be found in Routes 222 and 224 by searching for it in the tall grass. Chatot is fairly common, so it shouldn’t take you more than a couple of encounters before you come across it.

Chatot possesses a Catch Rate of 30. This means that at full health, you have a 3.9% chance of capturing it with a PokeBall (don’t do that though; just weaken it first).

Chatot also has a 5% chance to be holding a Metronome each time you encounter it. It’s not the best item, but hey, it’s something!
