Where to Find Bloodflame Blade in Elden Ring on Steam Deck

Elden Ring is an open-world action role-playing developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Just like Bloodborne, Demon’s Souls, Sekiro and the Dark Souls series, Elden Ring was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. The caveat here is that the game was made in collaboration with the award-winning fantasy novelist and source material creator for the highly popular Game of Thrones television show, George R. R. Martin, who provided a lot of source material for the game’s setting.

Elden Ring was released for Microsoft Windows, Steam Deck, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25, 2022.

The Soulsborne games are known for their difficulty level and Elden Ring is no less. To ease that difficulty, there are various ways of playing the game via different classes. One of them is the magic way, which is divided into Sorceries and Incantations. Today we will be talking about one of those incantations, namely Bloodflame Blade.

Bloodflame Blade

Bloodflame Blade is an Incantation in Elden Ring. It is a spell that enhances a player’s weapon with an effect called “Bloodflame”.

The Bloodflame effect applies a certain debuff to enemies upon contact. The initial hit deals its own magic damage, but after the damage is dealt, the Bloodflame debuff starts to build up on the enemy. This effect continues to generate an onset of blood loss, more and more over time, for a short period of time.

This incantation is perfect for any sort of “Spellsword” build, but how does one acquire it?

Acquiring Bloodflame Blade

Bloodflame Blade can be found in the Liurnia of the Lakes region in Elden Ring. It is a huge region, as big as Limgrave, found at the northwest of Limgrave itself. It can be accessed by going through Stormveil Castle.

Upon reaching here, the Bloodflame Blade Incantation can be found in the marshes near the Rose Church, southwest of the lake. It drops after defeating a Teardrop Scarab in the area. This might get confusing because there are two Teardrop Scarabs in this location, but if the player doesn’t find it on the first one, it is guaranteed to spawn on the other one.
