After completing any of the four main dungeons as a part of the “Regional Phenomena” main quest, return to the emergency shelter in Lookout Landing.

Talk to Jerrin, who seems to be rather shaken up. Turns out, she accidentally discovered the secret passageway that the others were trying so hard to uncover; there is now a small hole in the wall, so crawl through it to reach the Royal Hidden Passage.

Bust through the rocks to reach a fork in the road. Turn to the right and go through to find the horned statue, beckoning for you to approach it.

If this is your first time visiting the horned statue, the “A Deal With the Statue” side adventure begins. The mysterious voice inside the statue steals one of your Heart Containers, but do not worry, as you can talk to it to get it back.

The statue then explains how it works: You can sell a Heart Container or Stamina Vessel to the statue for 100 Rupees, then buy either one for 120 Rupees. You are essentially exchanging essences for 20 Rupees, which is not too bad of a deal.

After you are done talking to the statue, “A Deal With the Statue” is completed, and you can use the statue freely going forward whenever you want to exchange your stats. This is a helpful feature to use if you ever feel like you need more of a certain stat.

If you like, you can return to the fork in the road and bomb open the rocks to continue down the tunnel. The Royal Hidden Passage hides an extensive underground tunnel, full of the usual goodies, and there is even a Stalnox at the bottom if you are looking for a fight. Just be sure to bring lots of hammers and Bomb Flowers, because there are a lot, and we mean a lot, of rocks to bust through.
