At first glance, we have to say that either the Wetland Stable to the east, or New Serenne Stable to the northwest are the closest stables to Lookout Landing. The Riverside Stable to the southeast is probably a close runner-up.

Although, if you have progressed through the main story a bit, you may have caught wind that the workers inside Lookout Landing are actually attempting to build a stable right inside the settlement.

You get a side quest to help them once you complete at least one of the main dungeons, as part of the “Regional Phenomena” main quest. Once you help with their construction, a mini-stable is built inside Lookout Landing… which of course makes it the closest stable to Lookout Landing.

The only caveat to the stable inside Lookout Landing is that it only has the core functionality of a normal stable. You can take and register horses, but you cannot redeem Pony Points, learn rumors from gossiping villagers, or spend the night. Still, nothing beats being able to summon your horses right from Lookout Landing.
