At the last moment before the release of Dying Light 2, it became known that the developers of the game Techland decided to add the highly controversial Denuvo Anti-Tamper protection system. Users learned about this from an unannounced update two days before the release of the title.
Now the official page of the game on Steam indicates the protection. Many fans are outraged because it’s no secret that Denuvo can worsen the optimization of the game, which will negatively affect its performance, especially on medium and weak PCs. Most of all, users who pre-ordered the game are outraged.
A spokesman for Techland on the Steam forums explained the decision by saying that Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been in development for seven years and during that time many people have invested their time and effort into it. Therefore, in order to protect the fruits of their labors, they decided to secure the game from piracy.
Also, the official wrote that they had already tested the game with Denuvo and did not notice any performance impact. They promise to study reviews after the launch of the game.
Dying Light 2 Hack Timeline Prediction
Based on other games that also used the Denuvo Anti-Tamper protection system, we can assume the approximate time when the Dying Light 2 Stay Human will get hacked.

Based on the statistics, the terms of hacking vary from a few days to six months. The optimal period is 1.5-2 months. All the hopes of the pirates are on the EMPRESS hacker girl, who was able to hack Resident Evil Village. At the time of release, Dying Light 2 has no serious competitors that could compete for the urgency of hacking, so it is possible that now all the forces of hackers will be thrown into trying to bypass the protection here.
