Being an extremely popular multiplayer game, it is not surprising to see plenty of collaboration content making its way onto Dead by Daylight. Developer Behaviour Interactive has done a great job with both licensed and collaboration content, turning their game from being “just” an excellent multiplayer game into a celebration of horror as a whole.
Among the horror franchises that have been celebrated in Dead by Daylight in the past is the Resident Evil series. And it seems like fans of the classic series by Capcom who also happen to be fans of the multiplayer game by Behaviour Interactive will have something good to look forward to, as series’ villain Albert Wesker is set to come to the game in the future. Here’s when this will happen.
When Does Wesker Release in Dead by Daylight
During the Dead by Daylight 6th Anniversary stream, Behaviour Interactive revealed, alongside the Hooked on You dating simulation and the Attack on Titan collaboration content, that the second Resident Evil chapter, Project W, is coming to the game sometime in 2022.
As part of Project W, Resident Evil series villain Albert Wesker will make his way to Dead by Daylight, alongside other yet to be confirmed characters and a rework of the Raccoon City map. It is likely that more will be released as part of the new chapter, but Behavior Interactive has yet to confirm anything else regarding Project W.
To better prepare for the upcoming Project W and the debut of Albert Wesker, you could play a game or two of Dead by Daylight. The game is packed full of content, so it’s not like you won’t be able to have fun with it in the game’s current state. The popular multiplayer game by Behaviour Interactive is now available on Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and other gaming consoles. A mobile version, sporting different features and mechanics, is also available on iOS and Android.
