You select a move for your Pokemon to use, but it outright disobeys you and does nothing! Sometimes, even straight-up dozing off to sleep! Outrageous, right?!

This phenomenon happens when Pokemon disobey you, which can take place in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl as well. Among other factors, the level of your Pokemon plays a role in its obedience towards you as well. We are here to help you get your Pokemon under control!

If you want to know at what level Pokemon stop obeying you in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, then read on below!

Why Do My Pokemon Disobey Me in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?

If that is the burning question that has been plaguing your mind, you will be relieved to get some answers: a Pokemon will only disobey when it does not possess your trainer name/ID. For example, only traded Pokemon will disobey you at a certain point in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

So what is that “certain point” when the traded Pokemon starts disobeying you? It is when their level is too high in relation to the number of badges you own. Well, we’ll make that a little simpler:

Traded Pokemon ObedienceBadges Needed
Up to Lv. 10No Badges
Up to Lv. 201 Badge
Up to Lv. 302 Badges
Up to Lv. 403 Badges
Up to Lv. 504 Badges
Up to Lv. 605 Badges
Up to Lv. 706 Badges
Up to Lv. 807 Badges
Any Level8 Badges

What this means is that, if you possess no badges, traded Pokemon up to Lv. 10 will obey you. They will start disobeying you when they are Lv. 11 or higher when you have no badges, which continues in the same manner until you have all 8 badges, after which no Pokemon will ever disobey you, traded or not.
