The competitive kart racing game from Nintendo is available to download for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Players play through different themed tours to compete for various cups by racing on three courses and a fun bonus course. As well as some courses familiar to Mario Kart fans, there are also courses located in famous cities such as Paris and London.
Players can level up by gaining as many points as possible in each race. You can increase your points in your level-gauge by choosing the ideal driver, kart, or glider for that course, and finishing the race in fourth place or above. If a player finishes in 5th place or below the level-gauge will actually decrease- so beware! Each time you level up you increase the rewards and points earned for each win, depending on the speed (cc) of the race and on the position you finish in.
Currently a player’s maximum ranking is Level 150, but the max ranking does occasionally increase so keep your eye on further Mario Kart Tour news.
By completing cups and gaining points with wins, players can also climb the ranks and eventually reach the dizzying heights of All-Cup Rankings where players are pitted against others around the world. See you on the racecourse!
