1. Break those boxes!

When you’re shooting your way through the levels, sometimes there are wooden crates and barrels lying around. Don’t let a single one of these go by untouched! Boxes and barrels will sometimes contain money in them. There are two types of money drops: the bills and the bag of money. The bills are worth $3, while the bag is worth $14. The bag is great and hopefully you’ll find a lot of them. Just keep breaking those boxes!

2. Destroy the gold piles!

When you’re coming into a new level, sometimes it’ll be a gold mine. Inside gold mines are – you guessed it – gold piles! These piles must be shot several times before they’re destroyed. When they’re destroyed, there’s a small chance to find a gold nugget. Gold nuggets are worth $10, so be sure to dig through all of the piles. If you have the pickaxe equipped, it has a higher chance of making gold piles drop nuggets. We don’t really recommend using the pickaxe though because it’s a melee weapon, making it bit dangerous to fight with.

3. Play defensively!

In almost every instance of danger it’s usually best to play defensively. What this means is that you should wait for the bandits to come to you, not the other way around. Approaching a bandit is very risky because they usually fire off a shot mere seconds after coming into their line of sight. Stand around them and wait until they come into your line of fire, then fire away. It’s a lot safer to dispatch them this way! Not only does this keep you safe from harm, but it also guarantees you keep your killstreak. Every time you take out a bandit without taking damage, your combo will go up. At certain combo points you’ll receive a big cash bonus, and the bonus will get bigger as your combo grows.

4. Complete the quests!

Each new bounty you receive will come with a set of side quests. These quests are worth a small amount of money, usually within the $10-$20 range. Complete as many of these as you can as they’re a good source of income in addition to your main bounty reward. Keep in mind that not all of them are focused on taking out bandits as some quests will ask you to destroy objects and such.

5. Use the fire button!

Are you finding yourself accidentally shooting innocents because of the controls? It might help to enable the fire button. In the pause menu, the rightmost button is a crosshair with either an X or a checkmark on it. If it has a checkmark, fire button mode is enabled. When this mode is enabled, instead of tapping anywhere on the screen to shoot you’ll need to tap a button at the bottom of the screen. This is really helpful for preventing accidental shots.

6. Buy the shotgun!

The shotgun functions exactly like the standard revolver, but it kills bandits in one shot. Certain bandits require an extra hit to take out, and the shotgun will kill them immediately. You can do fine with the standard $1500 shotgun. We tried out the expensive $3000 pink shotgun but noticed no difference. This goes for all the weapons.
