Top down shooter games were among the more popular arcade games years back, thanks to a challenging gameplay experience that requires quite a lot of skill to master. After a few years out of the spotlight, the genre has made a glorious come back on iOS with several titles that offer a unique spin on the classic gameplay formula. Another one of these titles is going to be released later this week on the App Store.
Icarus-X: Tide of Fire, the sequel to the original Icarus-Z, is going to feature a gameplay experience that no other bullett hell shooter game offers, combining the hectic action of the genre with roguelike and role playing game elements. Players will have to deal with randomly generated waves of enemies, learn skills through an extensive skill tree, earn XP and improve their stats, collect a variety of loot and more. All these gameplay elements add some welcome depth to a genre that’s not exactly know for the complexity of its mechanics.
Icarus-X: Tide of Fire will be released on the App Store on June 25th. The game seems to be a really interesting shooter game so make sure to take a look at it later this week if you’re looking for something unusual to play on the go.
