Robots in disguise! The Transformers are back in Transformers: Earth Wars! In this base management/defense game, you’ll choose a side and help those Transformers reach their goals. Will you join the Autobots and defend Earth, or will you side with the Decepticons and claim Earth for yourself? The choice is yours! We’ll help you become a Transformers master with our Transformers: Earth Wars cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!
1. Attack in formation!
As you’ll learn quickly during the first couple of levels, each transformer has a class. In our case, we started with the Autobots so our starting transformers were Ironhide and Jetfire. Ironhide is a “warrior” class transformer. Warriors are tough bots packing a lot of health, but they move slow and don’t deal that much damage. Jetfire is an “air” class transformer. Air transformers dish out a lot of damage from medium range, but are rather fragile and can’t take a lot of hits. Through these two, you’ll need to make sure your warriors go in first. They are your frontline heroes protecting your backline. Send in Ironhide, then Jetfire for an efficient combo!
2. Spend your alloy and energon!
Early on, you’ll be hitting your alloy and energon caps pretty quickly because the missions will usually offer around 1,000 each for rewards. Be sure to spend most of your resources beforehand so you don’t waste any of it. Even better, try to upgrade your alloy and energon storage buildings as early as you can so you don’t have to worry about this.
3. Pick your route carefully!
Before you deploy your transformers into an enemy base, carefully examine the layout of the base and consider your options. Some of the campaign bases will have obvious paths that you can exploit. This is demonstrated fully on the level “Exposed Flank” where the enemy base is separated into two parts. One part is heavily guarded with a lot of cannons, while the other side only has two cannons. This side is also houses the enemy HQ, so it’s obvious which way you want to go. By now you will also have a “Gunner” class transformer, which excel at artillery fire over walls.
4. Complete the achievements!
At the top of the screen, you’ll see your current achievement you’re working towards. These pretty much act like quests in all other games, where you complete a certain objective and you receive a reward. These achievements always reward you with Cyber Coins, the premium currency of this game. You should always be working toward these achievement quests, and if you don’t have any at the moment, just progress through the campaign and you should receive new ones.
5. Save your Cyber Coins!
Ultimately, this is personal preference, but we saved our cyber coins for more build bots. You start the game out with two build bots, which means you can have two things building at once. A new build bot costs 2,000 cyber coins, and we found that was more useful in the long run than the other things you can spend cyber coins on.
6. Utilize the special class transformers!
Once you reach the end of chapter one, you’ll receive your first “Special” class transformer. In this case of autobot playes, you’ll receive Optimus Prime, the main leader of the autobot forces. Optimus is classified as a special class, but he functions like a heavily armored warrior class. His main ability is Inspiring Charge, which works just like Ironhide’s charge, except that all bots on the team will follow Optimus after his target. Each special class transformer has unique functions in battle, so try them out!
