1. Control your tapping!
As is the case with these kinds of games, you need to be careful with your tapping. Don’t tap too fast and don’t tap too slow, otherwise your pet will come crashing down! Even if your pet is teetering, you should not tap rapidly.
2. Know when to tap!
If your pet is leaning backward, you need to tap slower. If it’s tilting forward, you need to tap faster. As mentioned earlier, you want to increase or decrease your rate of tapping according but you never want to go overboard.
3. Find the rhythm!
Eventually, after a ton of tries, we found that there was a certain “rhythm” to walking your pet. It seems that having your pet always slightly tilted forward makes for the best walks. When your pet begins to drift downward, do one quick tap to make your pet reel back. If done correctly, your pet should be in a neutral middle stance. Keep this pace up! A good way to keep up with the rhythm is to listen to the footstep noises of your pet.
4. Watch out for slopes!
Around the five-step mark you’ll encounter small bumps in the road. These little blue slopes change your pet’s momentum depending on where it is on the slope, so be sure to adjust accordingly!
5. Watch those ads!
You get a strawberry at every checkpoint during the levels. Once you collect enough strawberries, you unlock an additional pet to walk! Every so often, when a run ends, you will have the option to watch an advertisement for three strawberries. If you have the time you should do it!
