1. Don’t revive on the default endless level!

When you first start out, you will only have access to the default endless quest, Eternal Quest of the Dark Order. This quest never ends, but there are treasure chests littered about the path. These chests have coins inside them, and while they barely have any starting out, the further you go the more they’ll contain. You will also find dimmed purple panels here and there. These are revive points. If you step on one, you will activate it, and if you meet your untimely end, you will be given the option to revive at the last panel you activated for a fee. How expensive depends on how far you’ve gone. With that said, you don’t want to revive in the endless dungeon starting out. You need to save your coins! Why?

2. Buy the additional quests!

If you bump into the tome in front of the wizard, you will be able to buy additional quests for a certain amount of coins. Unlike the default quest, these ones have an end to them. If you manage to reach the end of one, you will be rewarded with an artifact. Artifacts grant half of a heart, so if you manage to beat two quests, you’ll earn another heart! One heart can take one trap for you, giving you a second chance. Do note though that there is a entry fee for each quest, and you will not find any coin-containing chests in these quests.

3. Change the control scheme!

There’s a cog you can step on to the right of the wizard’s base. This will open the settings. Here you can change several different options, of which the two most important ones are Swipe Sensitivity and Continuous Drag. If you have been playing for a while, you will probably notice that the controls can be a bit finicky at times. We’ve found that the best settings for us is to set sensitivity to low and enable continuous drag. The lower the sensitivity, the longer your swipes have to be for the game to register it as a move. Often times our character would move spontaneously with just a tiny slide of the finger, ruining many good runs. Continuous drag lets you keep your finger pressed to allow for multiple moves. Ultimately, mess around with the settings to see what fits you.

4. Buy some equipment!

There are three chests in the wizards domain. These contain shoes, shirts, and items. Shoes protect you from certain floor elements, and sometimes even let you walk over some elements. Shirts protect you from various traps and enemies. Held items provide various nearby effects, such as opening nearby chests or slowing down certain traps. You can sometimes find a random piece of equipment in the milestone chests (the chest you get to open after going a certain distance) and you can just buy them too. Experiment to see which items are your favorite! For shoes, we recommend the Nimble Boots of the Oracle’s Servant. These boots allow your character to jump over small holes. This can sometimes save your life if you trip over a tiny hole!

5. Take your time!

You have no time limit of any sort, so the key to your quest is to be patient and take your time. Although you cannot stop your character from moving unless he hits an obstacle, you can always just make him trot back and forth in the same place if you need to buy some time. Study traps and enemies before moving in, and make sure you wait for the right moment to advance.

And with that, you should be able to conquer all the quests! If you’ve got anything else to share, feel free to leave a comment below!
