However, the anime came to the west before the game did, which might leave players with a slightly different experience than someone who was able to follow both at once. Yui Has A Different Role

If you played the game and then watched the anime, you may be wondering about Yui. Yui is a close companion to the main character Yuki in the game story and is one of the starter characters given to you for free. She is quite an important person to Yuki’s story, so you may be surprised to see that she does not have a main presence in the anime. This is because the anime mainly focuses on the adventures of the Gourmet Guild and uses the other guilds as side characters or characters of the day. In the game, the main character appears to do a lot of things on his own whereas in the anime, he spends much of the first season under the care of the Gourmet Guild.
