How to Complete the Beedle’s Missing Beetle side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
The Beedle’s Missing Beetle side quest can be completed only after finding Kukiel, talking with Stritch on Bug Island, and defeat Bilocyte. After all this is done, you need to speak with Stritch again to unlock the bug-catching Bug Heaven mini-game, although you do not need to play it the first time you are offered to do so.
Once you have unlocked the mini-game, enter Beedle’s Shop and sleep on the bed until night. After this is done, talk with Beedle outside to learn that his Horned Colossus Beetle is missing. To recover it, you will have to head to Bug Rock and speak with Stritch to play the Bug Heaven mini-game. Complete it within 3 minutes to find Beedle’s beetle.
Once you have found the Horned Colossus Beetle, head back to Beedle’s Shop, sleep on the bed until night, and talk with Beedle outside to complete the side quest. You will receive 5 Gratitude Crystals and a one-time discount on any item sold by Beedle in his shop for your trouble.
