Super Tank Blitz, the Competitive Tank Battler, Blasts off in July

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Fans of the hugely popular Super Tank Rumble will be pleased to hear that publisher Smilegate’s follow-up, Super Tank Blitz, is set to launch soon for iOS and Android. With pre-registrations open, we figured now would be a good time to spread the word and let you know what it’s all about.

Much like its predecessor, Super Tank Blitz sees you unlocking and customising your very own tanks. There are plenty to choose from, and they all come with their own impressive designs and fun themes. There is, for example, an igloo tank and a revolver tank. Pretty neat.

What’s perhaps more important than how they look is how they play, and Blitz brings a lot to the table in this regard, too. The tanks come packing their own special weapons and gadgets, granting the game a great deal of variety and plenty of opportunity for player experimentation. All that being said, Blitz remains incredibly accessible and open to players of all skill levels.

This time around, there are 12 Commanders to collect, play as, and upgrade. These guys all have powerful skills and attacks that are unique to them, meaning you’ll need to think carefully about who you want controlling your tank.

Super Tank Blitz isn’t one to miss if you’re a fan of the genre or like the sound of a fun, competitive casual game with lots of personality. You can pre-register to play right now over on Google Play or the game’s site.

UPDATE: The game is now released and you can check out our Super Tank Blitz guide here.
