Street Fighter: Duel is a mobile idle RPG based on Capcom’s legendary fighting game series. Players can assemble a team filled with their favorite Street Fighter characters, then battle it out through the main story campaign.
Like most mobile RPGs, you can equip your characters with gear that grants them stat boosts, making them more effective in combat. In this guide, you can learn how to upgrade equipment in Street Fighter: Duel.
Upgrading your equipment in Street Fighter: Duel
Upgrading gear is one of the most common mechanics of a mobile RPG. What you usually need to do is go into your character’s equipment screen, tap on the gear you want to upgrade, then hit the appropriate button.
A lot of players were surprised to see there was no such button for this in Street Fighter: Duel. At first glance, it seems like there is no way to upgrade your gear, as there aren’t any obvious buttons.

The game never tells you this directly, but only blue rarity and higher equipment can be upgraded. White and green equipment cannot be upgraded, which explains why no button appears when you try to upgrade those pieces.
You only start seeing blue rarity gear in chapter 4, and even then it is kind of rare. Just keep fighting through the main story levels, and eventually you will start earning blue rarity equipment.
Once you’ve got your hands on some high rarity equipment, select a fighter, then equip them with the gear you want to upgrade. Tap on the gear you want to upgrade, and you should now see an upgrade button.
Upgrading a piece of equipment improves its stat boosts, which in turn makes your fighters even stronger. Be sure to keep your equipment up-to-date to stand a chance!
