Strategy Game Fort Raiders SMAAASH! Launching Next Week On The App Store

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Strategy games based on the Clash of Clans formula are not uncommon on the App Store, offering a gameplay experience that’s not all that different from Supercell’s smash hit. Another similar strategy game is going to be released soon on iOS, a game developed by a Japanese team that has also developed some high profile consoles games of the past.

Fort Raiders SMAAASH! has been developed by Acquire, the team behind the successful Tenchu franchise, among others. In the new mobile game from the team, players will have to build fortresses, improve their defenses and summon powerful creatures to prevent enemies from destroying them. What makes the game stand out from other similar titles, not counting the beautiful 2D graphics, is the fact that fortresses in Fort Raiders SMAAASH! are actually towers.

Fort Raiders SMAAASH! may seem like another Clash of Clans clone but some of its gameplay features feel unique enough, at least on paper. Luckily we won’t have to wait too long to see if the game will really be able to stand out from the competition, as it’s going to be released on the App Store next week, on February 12th.
