A game that had apparently disappeared from our gaming radars will finally be released next month. It’s somewhat appropriate, as the game is an adventure title where being stealthy is the only way to achieve victory. We could even say that this game is “stealthing” its way on the App Store, but it would be too cheesy, wouldn’t it?
Republique, developed by Camoflaj, has been funded with a successful Kikcstarter campaign back in 2012. The campaign ended on May 2012, with over 500.000$ in funds getting raised. And that’s that, nothing more has been said about the game. The game was supposed to be released on Summer 2013 but Summer has come and gone and Republique has yet to surface.
However it looks like the game is finally going to be released soon, according to Camoflaj director Ryan Payton.
Mr. Payton has revealed that the Summer 2013 release date was optimistic and the game hardly would have been done by then. While the game has yet to receive a release date, Mr. Payton has confirmed that a December release date seems more likely. There’s nothing sure in the life of those who live in the shadows and it looks like this is even more true for a stealth game like Republique.
