Follow the Main Story Missions!

Like most base building war games, Star Warships has a main story questline for you to follow. You can quickly access it at any time by tapping the small box at the bottom of the screen, and you’ll be whisked away to your next objective.

If you’re ever unsure of what to do next, just keep following the main story missions and your base will be up-to-date with all of the latest upgrades and technologies.

Upgrade the Tech Hub and research!

The Tech Hub allows you to research passive bonuses that go into effect immediately and are permanent. These effects are all beneficial and they range from increasing your starships’ HP, increasing your energy output, increasing your fuel output, and so forth. Basically, all good stuff that you want!

Be sure that you always have a research project going at all times. In order to unlock more projects, you’ll need to upgrade the Tech Hub itself first. You can build the first couple of upgrades for free, so don’t worry about having to wait.

Build your strongest ships!

When it comes to choosing what kind of ships to build, you simply have to choose whatever your strongest ship is at the time. There’s really no further strategy here – the more expensive the ship is to build, the stronger it is.

The later ships don’t really have cons, so you don’t really need to strategize which ships to bring. Just overwhelm your enemy with as many of your strongest ships, and you should come out on top in every battle!

Get all three stars on the battles!

Each chapter consists of several staged battles. You can earn up to three stars on a battle, and the amount of stars you get is equal to how bad your losses are. If you can keep your losses to a minimum (below 10%), you’ll automatically earn three stars on the battle.

You probably won’t get all three stars on a level if it’s your first time through, but don’t worry about it. Once you unlock all of the fleet spots when your commander level is high enough, you can revisit older levels with a stronger force to guarantee a swift and clean victory.

Each chapter has three rewards for you to claim if you’ve gotten enough stars. The first reward requires 25% stars, while the second one requires 50% stars, and the final one needs all of the stars in the chapter. You can get precious gems from these rewards, so it’s worth it!

Help your Alliance out!

You’ll auto join a random alliance during the game’s tutorial, which guarantees you a hefty sum of gems to start out. Remember to help your alliance by tapping the yellow handshake button at the bottom right corner of the screen whenever it pops up. You get points towards your alliance for doing this, and the alliance also strengthens this way.
