If you like playing battle strategies in your mind and fight them on the battlefield, then you better form a very strong team which will fulfill all the requirements.

The Simplest way – Log In Rewards!

What could be simpler than doing nothing and receiving rewards such as heroes? It’s super easy! Log in to the game every day and you’ll receive rewards, among which heroes as well. 

When you log in for 28 days, or four weeks, on each 7th day you will get a hero. On the 7th, 14th and 21st days, you will get 25 fragments of Super Shot Stealth Elf, and on day 28 you will get 25 fragments of King Pen, a Legendary hero who relies on Defense. 

This is one of the easiest ways to get a purple and an orange hero, and constantly. I would suggest that even if you don’t plan on playing a certain day, simply log in to claim those rewards as it will pay off greatly in the end.

Battle in the Arena and purchase in the Arena Shop

The game as an Arena feature, which lets you fight other players and their Skylanders. Once you unlock the Arena, you will also unlock along with it the Arena Shop. Here you can check for certain offers of goodies and heroes, and unlock them!

It isn’t that difficult to buy your wanted heroes from the Arena Shop, as you can actually see and choose which ones you want, and IF you want them or not. 

Complete Adventure Mode

When you are completing the Adventure Mode (story mode) you will be able to get some good rewards which are going to help you get new heroes, as well as boost the heroes you got. 

By completing the Adventure Mode you will get shards for certain heroes, and if you have found some good ones that you like, then it’s going to be super easy for you to put together that hero that you like.

My suggestion would be to check out the stages which you’ve completed and re-do them as to get the hero rewards as many times as possible. This is a nice and relatively easy way to enhance your team and make it more powerful. By grinding those heroes you want you can make several upgrades to them and elevate them to a Legendary stage, even if they aren’t.

Summon as much as you can!

When you are first starting the game you’ll have a ton of Gems in your inventory. Be it because they were handed to you as new player rewards or you’ve collected them through questing over and over, you’ll have quite a few.

When you open the Summon Shop interface in the bottom left of the screen, you be able to spend them on summons. By performing a Normal summon or an Ultra Premium summon, you will gain random heroes, of any rarity. 

Whenever you summon, there is a chance that the number of hero shards you obtain is multiplied, so instead of just a couple of shards, you’ll get a dozen. If you are lucky and the RNG is with you, your favorite hero might get those extra shards!

One thing I would like to point out about the summon, is that I really suggest that you do the Ultra Premium summon. The first 3 Points Reward will reward you greatly, by giving you Heroic and Legendary hero shards guaranteed!

Pay attention to the Event Summons

Whenever there is an Event Summon available I urge you to go do it! I spent all my Gems in the Event Summon and managed to get the one hero I wanted most: Spitfire. 

In the Event Summon you’ll get Guaranteed Heroic and Legendary heroes, and if that doesn’t win you over, then I don’t know what will! They are an easy and great way to get more heroes, and whenever you have enough Gems, do the Event Summons over the Ultra Premium summon, as it will be better (in my opinion at least).

Do the quests

In the Quests menu you’ll see that some quests will reward you with heroes as well. Even if not all of them are top quality like Spitfire (my favorite, so I am a little biased towards him – don’t blame me), it’s still a free and relatively easy way to gather more heroes.

Once you have collected a hero, buy its shards!

This is an extra tip which is going to help you get more heroes in Skylanders: Ring Of Heroes and also more shards in order to upgrade your current heroes. 

When you open the Skylanders menu on the bottom left side of the screen, you can tap on the heroes you already acquired and click on the “Add” tab (has a puzzle piece next to it). When you do this, you’ll see all the free and… slightly more expensive ways to get that hero’s pieces.

All of the heroes’ shards can be purchased with Omni-gems, but not all have quests which reward them. For those who have quests or instances that you can acquire them from, the location will be written on blue tabs (for example “The Singing Forest [Easy]”) and if you tap on it it will take you to that exact location.
