If you have enjoyed the original Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol, you’ll be happy to know that a new game of the series has been recently announced, releasing before the end of the year.
Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies will be set, quite unsurprisingly, in the Pacific theater during World War II. Expect to see exotic landscapes as the background of your aerial activities. And since we’re talking about war, they’ll definitly involve aerial fights and bombing. Dirty business indeed.
In Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies you will have quite a few customization options. You’ll be able to upgrade your own aircraft and even use one of the many real life fighter planes included in the game, taken from both the American and Japanese sides of the conflict.
Among the available missions will be ones set in Pearl Harbor, Midway and Guandalcanal. The game will definitely not be the most original gaming experience around but it will surely deliver what’s been promised, a solid gameplay experience with a decent amount of depth.
Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies will be released before the end of the year on the App Store. A video for the game can be seen at the end of the post.
If you have never heard of the series before, you can try out the first Air Patrol by downloading it for free on the App Store.
