This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

On rails shooter games have been out of the spotlight for quite some time on consoles and PC but they’re enjoying a new and popular life on smartphones. It’s not too hard to see why, as they’re simple yet engaging gameplay formula is pretty easy to tweak for touch based based devices. Another similar shooter game inspired by classic games of the genre is currently in development for iOS and it will be released on a yet to be confirmed release date.

The new game is called Angel Wing and it’s currently in development by Quantum Sheep, the team behind another shooter game, Air Supply. The new game will feature 15 stages where players will have to shoot down massive enemy ships, avoid asteroids and enemy fire and more. The game’s experience isn’t an entirely straightforward experience, as Angel Wing’s stages have branching paths that give an incentive to play through them again.

Angel Wing is currently in development for iOS devices as well as on PC and Mac and several of its features have yet to be revealed in full. A release date has also yet to be confirmed but we will let you know more about the matter as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest updates.
