Today anime fans may not know much about it, but Saint Seiya is one of the most popular series ever released, especially in Europe. And, like with every other popular anime series, there have been some video game adaptations released over the years on consoles of varying quality.
Among these adaptations is Saint Seiya Awakening: Knights of the Zodiac, which has been released a while back in Japan. Chances looked slim for a Western release of the game, but it seems like unexpected things do happen sometimes, as the game has finally been released in North America and Europe.
Saint Seiya Awakening: Knights of the Zodiac features many of the most popular characters in the series, like main character Seiya and the other Bronze Saints as well as music taken from the anime and even the original Japanese voice cast for most characters, which is something that makes the game feel like an episode of the anime itself.
In Saint Seiya Awakening: Knights of the Zodiac, players must collect a variety of heroes taken from the series, train them and use them in the Galactic Duels against other players. All characters in the game come with unique skills and synergize well with select characters, so team building is extremely important.
Players will also be forced to make some tactical decisions on the fly, as there is a pick and ban system which can be used to gain a sound advantage against an opponent.
Saint Seiya Awakening: Knights of the Zodiac is now available on iOS and Android worldwide.
