Level-5 Inc, the studio behind the iconic puzzle adventure Professor Layton has been slowly porting all of the games over to mobile platforms, completely revamped with HD graphics and new touch interfaces. The most recent game is here: introducing Professor Layton and the Unwound Future HD!

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future is the third main game in the series. One day, the renowned professor receives a mysterious letter in the mail. The letter is written be Luke, his trusty sidekick, but there is one thing off about it… the letter is dated ten years from now!

The “future” Luke seems to be in trouble, and the professor is understandably having a hard time wrapping his head around the situation. He then recalls that mankind’s first time machine was unveiled a few weeks ago, but many peculiar events have happened since then, including disappearing people.

Feeling that the two occurrences may be connected, Layton begins his investigation into this “unwound future” and aims to set things right. As Professor Layton and Luke, players will travel around the city in search of clues, but they must solve complex brain teasers before they can find their answers.

Professor Layton is a series of adventure puzzle games, with a heavy emphasis on the puzzle aspect. Layton and Luke will come across over 200 puzzles where they must put on their thinking caps to find the answer.

The original game was released ten years ago on the Nintendo DS. The mobile version has improved background and character art, a new control interface designed for phones, and more!

The games are a must for any puzzle junkie, and with the latest entry now available on mobile, the adventure continues!
