Pokemon GO Shadow Pokemon, Team Rocket Event Now Live

New content has gone live for Pokemon GO, introducing the dreadful Team Rocket and Shadow Pokemon, which offer an interesting twist to the usual formula.

The new content, which has been teased over the past few days, sees players catch Shadow Pokemon. These special Pokemon need to be purified for them to be traded after being caught. Additionally, these Pokemon are stronger than their regular counterpart and require less dust to be powered up.

Once enough PokeStops have been visited and enough Shadow Pokemon caught, players will be able to fight the Rocket Team.
